What a mess we made!
I had been wanting to experiment with this dance photography concept for a while. I jumped at the opportunity to do it when Moriah, a dance instructor here in Searcy Arkansas, said that she would be interested in working on it with me. Lighting set ups for concepts like this can be very tricky and I was pleasantly surprised when my first set up yielded these results. We used ten pounds of flour to do this and Moriah and her friend/assistant both looked a little ghostly when we finished.
My thanks go to Moriah and Searcy School of Dance, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Searcy-School-of-Dance/107563339331618 , for giving me permission to post a large print of one of these images in their studio. If you would like to see it stop by their dance studio at 2013 W Beebe Capps Expressway. Make sure to check out their many dance class offerings while you are there. I also thank Kaytlin at B+K Custom Framing and Gifts, https://www.facebook.com/BkCustomFramingAndGifts?fref=ts , for the excellent job she did framing the print that is on display.
